The recently discovered Journal Report of Fr. Angel de Blas, O.P. regarding the Lipa phenomenon. Fr. de Blas was Rector Magnificus of the University of Santo Tomas (1948–1952), and thus one of the leading educators in the Philippines during his time. Together with other professionals, this Dominican academic was tasked with investigating the Lipa phenomenon at that time. Reading this journal, you will find that Fr. de Blas viewed Lipa in a favorable light. A man so qualified by his academic, professional, and priestly credentials and by his close involvement in the investigative process of the apparitions did not view Lipa in a negative light.
