The 1951 committee of six Filipino bishops signed the negative verdict on Lipa Apparition to which everybody bowed down in obedience, even the recently removed in position but believers of Lipa Apparition, former Lipa Bishop Alfredo Versoza and Auxillary Bishop Alfredo Obviar. Everybody fell silent, including the community of Lipa Carmel who was afraid that they too may suffer the fate of their former Prioress Mother Cecilia of Jesus who was exiled from their Carmel together with the infirmarian Sr. Mary Ann Cuna.
